I found this place by accident, but I’m so glad I did! I stopped in wanting to buy a few new fish for my tank. Sam was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and helpful. I told him what size tank I had and what fish I currently had in there, and he made all sorts of recommendations that would work best for my set up. I left with a few new beautiful fish and a wish list for a second tank. Everyone in the store was so friendly and considerate of the many questions I had. Their pleasantries made me a customer for life.

I have been getting all my aquarium supplies and fish since Nova Tropicals opened its doors. By far and hands down the best aquarium shop in Northern Virginia. Dave ( The owner) and his staff are very professional, courteous, and go above and beyond to take care of your needs. If you need something they don't stock in the store, Dave will get it for you. The store is very clean, organized, and stock the most amazing fish. All the fish are very healthy. I highly recommend Nova Tropicals for all your aquarium and fish needs.

I live an hour away and have been a frequent customers of this store for months for my nano tank. It is always worth the drive!! All employees are easy to work with and have a passion for the hobby. My husband and I decided to upgrade to a larger tank and purchased it from Nova Tropicals along with all the equipment to get the tank started. Dave offered to drill the holes in the tank for us and install the plumbing - which came out amazing. All fish and coral I’ve gotten from this store are happy and healthy. Nova Tropicals is hands down the best fish store in the area!

Beautiful store, great selection. You have to see it!! They help you get what you need and don't over sale you. Help you understand what is healthy for the animals so you can build your setup appropriately. Great place

Great store. Excellent selection available. Huge saltwater and freshwater inventory. Staff are very friendly and more than willing to assist you and answer your questions. If you are looking for something specific that they don't currently have, you can request it. They also have a good selection of freshwater plants. Highly recommend this store for all of your needs.
