Osaka Japanese House

Since the reopening after the pandemic crises, Osaka has not been the same. I used to love this place and was a regular customer. I always order Hibachi Filet Mignon & Scallops. Twice.........not once.........twice I put in an order for the meat to be cooked medium RARE. I repeated it several times to make sure that it was well understood. Both times it was cooked so well done that I might have well be eating a rubber tire. I was disgusted. After the first time, I called and spoke with the manager who ASSURED me that this would NOT happen again. .....It did happen a second time. So.....I will simply have to curb my craving for Hibachi and have it in another town. I'm DONE with OSAKA Japanese House. Very disappointing. I have been a client since 2004.

So I wasn’t going to post a review because the gentlemen who took our order and answered our complaints was SO kind and very sorry. I also understand we are in difficult times however, we ordered three hibachi vegetables dinners TOGO. Now I have got to go from here in the past and it’s never been this terrible. We picked it up and were starving and excited. Got back to the house and the fried rice was mushy and dark like slammed with soy sauce as well as the vegetables. I instantly knew it didn’t look like the typical hibachi but my sister paid so I felt bad to not eat it. I tried to eat it and literally gagged. Along with the rest of us who had the meal. It was the worse hibachi meal I have ever had. Literally will all do respect as I understand this is someone’s job but I cannot even explain the taste. We are also huge hibachi people and recently ate at one in Gainesville that was Phenomenal. I did call and complain. I didn’t want to but there was just no way we could eat it. I asked for a partial refund just as I understand we took it Togo but it went right into the trash. The gentleman again was very apologetic and I praised him for that. He offered a refund if we drove back and brought the meals back. I did tell him not to worry about it because I wasn’t driving back across town to deliver inedible food just for them to review how poorly it was done. I apologize for the review but I would hate to have the same experience again. Therefore. We will not be returning. I pray the get back to how the use to be one day.

Even with only take out right now we still love Osaka. Food was great. Can't wait till we can watch h them cook again but in rhe meantime love the safety protocols they have for Covid.

Had Osaka's hibachi chicken about a week ago, and it was phenomenal. For 14 bucks you get enough food to feed three people. The chicken was juicy and tasty, the rice was flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Of course, Yum-Yum sauce helps, but is not necessary because the food is awesome.

i was here with family for my wedding night dinner then we were going to have a honeymoon. the hibachi person was so rude. probably because he was not married. but after he saw my wife ring he sneezed and got snot all in the food.
