Over 50 miles of great dirt/gravel trails. Great place to bike, run, walk, hike, or ride horses. A couple awesome tunnels and dozens of bridges over rivers, creeks, roads, and fields. Much of the trail is shaded and many miles are alongside the New River or one of its large tributary creeks. There are benches all along the trail, and trail bathrooms every 5-10 miles. The trail has a great feel and always had people out enjoying nature - go enjoy some time outside on the trail!

Very nice state park and surrounding countryside. The river is the jewel here & fishing is very popular. Plenty of places for a picnic and fire pits are plentiful. Play area for youngsters is right next to the river. Several easy trails for walking or running & biking is encouraged. This park is not crowded during the late autumn and winter seasons, but I expect it will be in the summertime. If you visit, come early.

If you like the outdoors go visit the New River Trail. It's a 52 mile old railroad track converted into a multi purpose trail. There are also small parks, cabins, and campsites that you can visit
