New London Steak House

This place is so unbelievably good!! A good friend of mine and his family own and operate this steakhouse, and have for decades, so I know for a fact that they use top quality ingredients and the kitchen is spotlessly clean. Their pricing is also very good. They have a beautiful dining room with great decor and an equally nice covered outdoor patio/deck dining area. They also have a private banquet room as well for parties or business meetings.nI highly recommend eating here anytime but especially for special occasions.nGo check it out you won't be disappointed!

Wow. Our 1st time. The food was great. We went on a Friday night. And I ordered the prime rib. Tender and cooked just the way I like it. My wife ordered the chicken with wine and mushrooms. Great combination. We split a piece of home made cheesecake with strawberry crumbles. Oh my gosh we could have made a meal out just the cheesecake. Fantastic. Its small and nothing fancy.but that's the charm of the restaurant. $$$.

I never leave bad reviews, however I feel this should be addressed. My husband and I eat at New London frequently with our family and have for years. We recently started ordering takeout from there quite often after moving close by. Last night we got curbside takeout and the girl who brought out our food took our card in to charge it, brought it back out and handed me a receipt and stated that I did not need to sign anything (odd). This morning I check my bank account and see that exactly five dollars was added to our total. I called New London to see what was going on and the owner stated that a five dollar tip was written on my receipt. When I told her I did not authorize the tip and was not even asked if I wanted to leave a tip, she stated that she knew the girl who charged my card and she wouldn’t do that and maybe the host did it. She then proceeded to try to make me feel guilty about complaining about the money that they STOLE from me by saying “well since you didn’t want to leave a tip, I guess I can give you a five dollar gift certificate.” And then said “by the way, I see you ordered a burger and got a baked potato with it, you should have been charged more for the baked potato and you weren’t.” The bottom line is, my husband and I always leave a tip, even with curbside, though we weren’t given the opportunity to do so. Also I would have gladly paid an up charge for the baked potato, but I don’t work there or key in orders. The owner never apologized that this server decided to tip herself what she wanted, and hopefully she didn’t do it to the other curbside customers as well. My family won’t be back after being offered a five dollar gift certificate with a side of guilt. Unauthorized charges could be big trouble for your restaurant.

Staff were extremely warm and friendly. My wife steak was cooked to Perfection and she loved it. I got the clams and thoroughly enjoyed them. The cheesecake was to die for

The best steamed shrimp and fried oysters. Steaks and prime rib always cooked perfectly. Full bar service and homemade desserts, Great casual atmosphere.
