This place is unbelievable! The park has a small fee and you gain access to beach front parking. The wildlife is amazing, there are ton of different bird species, horses, and crabs. There are a few different trails and a nice bike path that goes along a saltwater marsh. You could easily spend a few days there going along the beach and checking out the marsh. There are a few places to go clamming in Tom’s Cove and opportunities to explore preserve. There are some nice seafood restaurants in the town with plenty of places with good local beer!

My very 1st time there it was wonderful didn't get to see any ponies but we still had a wonderful time
