We (my 17-year old grandson and I) stayed at the Brigadune on a cold day in January. Irene greeted us at the dock and showed us around the island briefly on the way to the Brigadune. She arranged an excellent golf cart tour of the island and a tour of the Tangier Island Museum. Our room was very comfortable, and the beds were excellent. We also enjoyed the shared lounge. But the best thing about the Brigadune was the warm hospitality and kindness shown to us by Irene. Thank you Irene! We will be back.
The owner of the Brigadune is such a lovely lady and so helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was 5 ladies and she made us feel like we were at home with old friends.
The owner Irene is renovating the place and doing a wonderful job. We came to see the island. Irene goes out of her way to assist. The Room was very clean and cute. Had 1 issue and she hopped in and took care of it. The islanders are very friendly. If we go back I will be looking forward to staying there again. Would recommend this place to anyone staying overnight on the island. Thanks again
If you are seeking for a place to get away from it all, Brigadune on Tangier Island is it! We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The owner is the epitome of Southern hospitality, super responsive and helpful. The apartment we stayed in is beautifully furnished; the owner put a lot of attention to décor details. Cozy, very clean, with super comfortable bedding. Breakfast from a local restaurant was both delicious and ample. Conveniently located close to the beach and walking distance to town. Definitely would consider coming back!
I needed a writing get-away between jobs, someone told me about Tangier Island, and then I was lucky to find Irene and Brigadune -- and I left feeling like I had to get back here the minute I could. Brigadune is the only inn that's right off the beach so morning and night as long as the tide was out I could walk out for a private beach experience. Irene couldn't have been kinder or a better host, and the rooms are sparkling clean and newly renovated. I can't wait to get back, and while I don't want too many people discovering Tnagier can't recommend it enough.
