Bedford Landings Bed, Breakfast & Hangars

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Bedford Landings B&B. Karen and Jack are wonderful hosts who have a beautiful home. You do not want to miss their gourmet breakfast each day. Their famous pecan encrusted bacon is served every morning and is incredible. We stayed in the forest room which lived up to its name with decorations and pictures of bears, trees and other wildlife. They also have wonderful amenities like a theatre room, game room and hot tub that we enjoyed. Overall, we would recommend Bedford Landings B&B.

We left for a weekend Birthday getaway for Mel and were both in need of a bit of fresh scenery. Our time together often turns us on unguided pathway of adventure, discovery and exploration, and finding new hidden gems in unusual places and out of the way hideaways. Well we arrived to our weekend hideaway in the early dark evening and were easily swept off our feet by what the vision before us. As we entered we instantly became captivated and enamored of this B and B, a first for both of us. A very spacious and cozy log cabin in the dark, well lit up in all areas we needed to access. As requested we found the chilled wine in the room and a cake baked fresh by out hostess what a wonderful surprise Mel got as the misty eyes gave her delight away. Later that evening we went out to enjoy the trickle of the waterfall off the back balcony on the cold crisp evening from the stargazing deck. Gazing at the stars was enough for us that night as we could now see more than our suburban back yard allows us to normally see.nAwakening in the morning we could see all that we missed in the previous evening and there was more to take in. Mel kept seeing new and engaging little trinkets all around the house and grounds and I enjoyed the stories of flight from our gracious hosts. We took our time that morning and went out to discover the area up towards Rocky Mount and Boones Mill and then back after a nice local meal that evening. The next day brought us the gift of the weekend, our gracious lord woke us to a snowy mountain morning that was just the blessing of beauty that I had hoped to give her on our trip. The sadness of leaving was only offset by the hope of a visit in our near future.

Bedford Landings B&B was everything we had hoped for and so much more! The cozy and lovely Christmas decor, the warm friendliness of the hosts, the romantic fireplace and hot tub amenities, the tranquil and relaxing environment, and the outstanding sweet and savory breakfast have us planning our next escape back very soon! Jack and Karen have thought of everything to make our experience so very special and memorable.nThis place is truly a gem!

Karen and Jack make all aspects of planning, arriving, enjoying, and departing their B&B enjoyable. The level of communication prior to our arrival was just right. We enjoyed the personal correspondence which built our anticipation of meeting this wonderful couple in person. The years they have spent in the hospitality arena shows in their ability to sense just how much contact a guest needs to feel comfortable and welcome. I've already recommended a stay to some of my dear friends and am planning to return again.

We had never stayed at a B&B before. I was somewhat hesitant about staying in a stranger's house. But Karen and Jack made us feel so welcome right from the start. The house is incredibly beautiful! And we loved the hot tub and the deck for seeing the stars. On top of that breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed talking to Jack and Karen and we really hope to return someday.
