Saw a group of ponys near a parking lot. But not much else.
We decided to take a drive around 7PM to the island. We have never been to the island or ocean city. The drive in was pleasant and a beautiful evening. We came to the first area of water with bridge and everyone was stopped on the other side because lucky us there were horses. We slowed and almost to halt to take a picture like everyone else. Sadly be weary of locals because we encountered two aggressive cars. The SUV honked, careened around us at a high speed and flipped us off all the while people and horses were stopped on this two lane road enjoying this chance to see horses. This is no place to be in a hurry and was a handful of cars this time of day. The speed limit is 20 or 30.nFurther up the road horses were drinking. We were able to pull off with another car and get beautiful pictures. The horses came through the trees and grass and surrounded our cars. Clearly not afraid of humans. All people watching stood still and just watched. Nobody even talked to the horses. A Maryland plate SUV stopped. A man was aggressive and said we would get kicked and started laughing as the woman driver slowly drove away while he laughed. These encounters really left me with an unsettling feeling of this area. We were lucky to see horses and the VISITORS all around us were smiling.
We stop anytime we come to OC.. Lots of horses up close on our visit
Excellent, went after dinner. We saw horses inland and on the beach
Beautiful place. Been going there for years but it's pretty expensive to get on the island and might be hard for people of lesser means. $25 is simply to much. It is for a 7 day pass but most people just want to spend a day. A $5 dollar daily option should be available.
