Problems! Problems! Problems! My husband, who's a diabetic made an appointment for foot pain, and an ingrown toenail. He expected to see the doctor, but he never seen the doctor. However, he did see a nurse practitioner he stated. He had his toenails cut, but he didn't feel much better after he did. Also, after many attempts, he tried to get a form filled out from our primary care physician to get special diabetic shoes at a medical supply store, but no one at that doctors office would fill it out. They said we don't do that form and had their own form and said they would mail it out to him. They never did!nAfter 3 months it took the medical supply store to obtain that form by calling them and getting it faxed to them. My husband has suffered unnecessary terrible foot pain because of this. They sold shoes, but he didn't want to buy them there. Another problem, he paid his co-pay by check, and we have been getting billed many times for it. Today, I finally called billing and they had no record of it. I am sending the doctor's office a copy of the cancelled check per their billing dept. This has been very time consuming on our part to get things done that shouldn't be and we are in our late 60's.I would not recommend this office to anyone, and my husband said he will not go back.nI just received a call after all this time from Joanne at the doctor's office, and I let her know what I just typed for my husband. She said the billing dept called her, and she told me she found the check just now, hmmm. Is this a coincidence, an oversight, unnecessary billing? Anyway, I pray that whoever reads this, it will help them to have a much better experience than my husband did and hopefully some lessons learned.

My wife is writing this review about Dr. Fontaine:nnI had foot problems that progressively got worse till I finally went to my PC's office. The NP said it was plantar faciitis . I also had tingling in my toes that no one had been able to help me with for 2 years. I was referred to another podiatrist but when he found I did not have diabetes he said he would not accept my insurance. I did a google search and found Dr. Fontaine. I called her office. They said she would see me and take my insurance. She was booked up for a month but I asked to be on a cancellation list. They called a week later. She said I did not have plantar faciitis but it was tarsal tunnel syndrome and perhaps some other things going on with it. She suggested some treatment options. Within a few weeks I was feeling so much better...even the tingling in my toes was almost gone. She truly cares about her patients and her office staff is great. I would highly recommend Dr. Paula Fontaine.

did not examine my foot at all, didn't even touch it. just asked what the problem was and prescribed me something for pain. asked me to come back in 4 weeks although I explained I couldn't get around on it now, and then when I tried to schedule a 4 week apt, they said there was nothing available. I went to another doctor and they took care of my foot, xray with a cortisone shot, never felt better.

I had excruciating pain in my foot. Dr. Fontaine saw me right away. Assessed my problem and she treated my foot. I would recommend this doctor to anyone with foot problems.
