I just went in for cigarettes I didn't really wait long to get them so that was a plus
Use to be okay for a quick stop. Nothing fancy and a bit grimey but had selection of brews. Dropping rating as now their selection has dropped way down and shelves are only half full.
Close to downtown and decent prices.

Austin serves a working class and, frankly, ghetto clientele (like me!) all of whom are looking to get their drink on for a fair price.nnAustin's liquor and nip prices are well below discount and competitive with any other place you could go.nnThe one cashier with whom I've dealt with consistently appears rough around the edges but is a real friendly, down to earth fellow who makes buying booze a pleasure.nnPlenty of parking. Only issue is good luck, depending on the time of day, making a right out of the parking lot. That is Main St., and it's 2 lanes of busy traffic with a blind curve. Heavy police presence in the neighborhood and around the liquor store - so make sure you're driving correct.nnLastly, shady folks all over the place. But you don't bother them and they won't bother you.
Great selection, excellent prices, and best of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful! There is a parking lot, making it easy for you, and it is on the main drag.
