I find it amazing how a doctor for an insurance company can deny someone surgery because he didn't feel it was medically necessary by only looking at xrays. He is the medical director for united health care insurance company and he denied my hip replacement based on my xrays. Never seen me doesn't know my circumstances, lives in a different state but doesn't feel I need it. Maybe he should worry about not getting disciplined by the medical board instead of denying someone who can hardly walk and is in so much pain but can't have her hip replaced because the xrays don't show enough changes.
