He did a pretty significant repair to my ankle in 2013. I have reinjured it multiple times (not his fault, his repair has taken lots of abuse from me) and this last spill was a doozy, involving hiking.nnUnfortunately, I was already scheduled for shoulder surgery with dr McClure, so my ankle has been put on hold till my shoulder is healed and I can bear weight on crutches.nnDr mcquillen has a calm and patient demeanor and will explain things both clinically and in ways that make sense to his patients. He genuinely knows his patients and he remembers me. He has an excellent bedside manner as well.nnToday I had to call the office after hours with a post op concern (shoulder surgery) and Mcquillen was on call. He instantly knew who I was and what procedure i had had done and explained that my concern was a somewhat common effect of anesthesia, and told me what I needed to do and watch for.nnHe was upbeat and kind as usual, even though I personally know it’s not fun being on call. I have enjoyed being his patient for many years and trust his judgment. I’ve referred many people to him. As much as I hate thinking I am going to have to have another surgery, I’m happy it will be him performing it.
