My husband and I moved into a very old home in Cincinnati that needed a complete remodel. We choose Steve Barber Construction after meeting with several contractors for multiple reasons. The main ones were that Steve Barber took time to review in detail what they could do, set realistic estimates of pricing in our first meeting, and was extremely responsive. We could tell he cared about the quality of work and ensuring transparency. We remodeled 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, added a 2 car garage, and patio. We are THRILLED with the outcome. I couldn’t recommend Steve Barber Construction enough. It’s very hard to find a contractor you can trust and rely on for suggestions. We truly felt like a team. His crew was super friendly and professional as well. You will not be disappointed if you hire them!
Steve provided expert guidance in helping me decide how to properly open-up my highly segmented 80-year old house. His team did was highly professional, did exactly what they were supposed to do (no surprises), and treated my home with great care. In addition, although it was not a huge job, I was treated like I was their most important client, which I truly appreciated.nnI plan to use Steve Barber Construction on future renovations. Highly recommended.
Steve and his his crew designed and completed a Great Room addition to our home which required demolition and structural beam support. From the design stage through completion the work was done on time and with quality workmanship that far exceeded our expectations. Kevin & Debbie Horton
We hired Steve Barber Construction to tear down our old two-tier deck and build a new one with a partial roof. Steve was so professional, so responsive to our concerns, and his crew of workers were very skilled and hard-working - a pleasure to work with. Whenever I had a concern I would email Steve and he would stop by and address the issue (some splittered railing boards under where I fill my bird feeders daily he replaced completely - in addition to some other boards and steps that he didn't think were up to par!) We absolutely LOVE our new deck and would definitely recommended him for any construction project. Even though we were probably one of his low-end projects we were certainly not treated like one. :)
I love my deck!! Steven Barber Construction last week completed a deck replacement for me. I wanted to keep the same design but needed the old worn-out pressure treated wood replaced with the Deckorators Voyage composite. There were lots of issues with the existing deck when it was initially installed 10 years ago but the crew (Mike and Bill) came out and did an incredible job. The lower tier was not built square initially but they made it look square when they completed it. Lattice work on the sides is absolutely beautiful. The crew was very considerate and hard-working.nnOne of the big plus’s with Steven Barber Construction is the responsiveness of the owner, Steve. He either calls or texts very quickly so you don’t feel neglected. Steve also suggested a railing and color of railing that works perfectly. He was a great guide in helping me make the best decisions.nnBottom line – I love it my deck and highly recommend Steven Barber Construction.
