My exhusband was abusive to me and our children. He started attending Talkeetna Baptist Church when we were going through a custody dispute. My 7 year old son told me he didn't like the Pastor at the church because he would say mean things about me. My son said Pastor Wes asked everyone during a church service to pray that my exhusband would get full custody of the him and his sister. Fortunately, the power of prayer doesn't wash away the sins a person has committed. I was awarded full legal custody and primary physical custody because my exhusband had committed domestic violence.nI believe a pastor's job should be to educate the community on the word of God- not insert himself into the affairs of community members or speak poorly about a child's parent in front of them.
