True wild Alaskan Experience. Bear, Moose, plentiful Salmon and gorgeous views all around from Icy bay to Mt. St. Elias. I went into this with high expectations and they were exceeded. 25+ Coho per day for 6 days strait. The staff and crew are best of breed- making me feel safe with bears all around. I looked forward to each and every meal including the night they served moose backstrap from the Traeger. Just wow. We visited several different fishing sites on the property. Swedish all terrain provided access to a river and some sort of landing boat for the sites around the bay. Each day was a new adventure- new sights and sounds. I also fished on the bay in front of the lodge each evening because it was hard to quit! I happened to be there the same week as the owner Todd, and he is so welcoming and accommodating. This place is truly magical and I will return.

These guys are something else. Lodge sits in a very remote area. After being on a vessel that was in distress for 2 days with the Coast Guard en route to come get us these guys could not have been more inhospitable. told us we needed to move our damaged vessel away from the lodge view because they had customers. I have never run into such rude people in Alaska or Canada and I have been here for 11 years. Probably a great lodge to blow $30k at so they can catch you fish or dress a moose for you if you don't know how to do it. I would not recommend them at all.nnUpdate 9/7/2018: Owner contacted me after initially writing my review. I told him our side of the story and that he needed to speak with his crew to get their side of it. I asked him to please clearly explain to them what it means to have a Vessel In Distress and come up with a plan or follow the law next time it happens. He assured me he would and was very sympathetic to the situation we were in. I am positive the lodge will handle the situation better next time if they run into something like that again.

We were delivering a boat from valdez to skagway when our 40 ft boat had mechanical failure and we tried to get into safety. We hailed for coast guard and was sending help in 24 hours and there was a mooring ball In front of icy bay lodge that we tied to. Well when the icy bay lodge captain came in later he kicked us off the mooring ball and we were in distress. We offered him to tie along side of us for the night and put fenders down for him and he said no. Very ignorant and inhumane and hope they fire this captain! I'd give the captain - 5 star if I could.
