Oceanside Vacation Rentals

I feel so defeated and emotional. This has been such a hard year. All my daughter wanted for her 8th birthday this year was to go to the coast with her cousins. We scrapped together enough money to get a beach rental that allowed a small dog. About two days ago I found out there will be some concrete being poured for a walk way annoying but not a big deal. Well today I found out that we are unable to stay at the house because it's unsafe. They tried to put us in a condo which is fine but it doesn't allow dogs, so I hesitated. $60 to board a dog is out of our budget. By this point the lady on the other side of the phone yells that's fine we will just cancel and give you a refund. What?! What am I going to do? How will we find some where else to stay on such short notice?! I am so upset ud83dude2dud83dude2dud83dude2d Don't rent from Oceanside Vacation Rentals.

Recently stayed at 1841 Beach Dr. And was severely disappointed! There was water damage around the house. Carpets were very old and made a bad smell in the house, walls were chipping along with the bathroom tub. The gate to the back was broken, very old for a rental, dishwasher was not properly bolted in, and the hot water would last 20 min for every hour, hardly any wifi, and the fireplace was nasty and did not work! Maybe there's some better homes but with my experience I'm not happy!

I have never been treated so heartless and disrespectful!! My dad was literally in the hospital on his death bed dying and these women, especially the owner, Sharon, only cared about money. Not once did they say they were sorry, or give any condolences. She did mange to insult me and say she found it hard to believe I was so broke that I needed my deposit back, after I explained to her that my dying father was the one paying the other half when we got up there, and that I also had to rent a van for my family to travel to the hospital my dad was flown to, and 2 hotel rooms for family so they could say goodbye to my dad, the money would help me alot more than a voucher for any property for the next year. Then she sternly told me, well, she would charge me a $100 cancellation fee and made sure to reinforce that this was a ONE TIME THING, as I reminded her it was literally a life and death situation and that I only have 2 parents so I didn't think it would happen again. I also reminded her nothing I signed ever said anything about a no cancellation policy...nLong story short, they are not nice people, no morals, values or hearts whatsoever. It was the last thing I needed at that time. I will absolutely never do business with them. I have told my friends and family about how they treated me and they will never be doing business with them either and they are telling everyone they know not to do business with them as well. If you are reading this before you book a reservation with them, I hope you wont either. There are much better places to rent through!!

I don’t even know where to begin!! We stayed at The Guest Manor from Jan 30th to Feb 02 2020.nThe ladies at ocean view vacation rentals were great at first to work with, but after we checked in they were not. First of all I’d like to say that the house itself was great, but the furniture was very old, dirty and cheap!nThe first night we were there we were all seated at the dining table and my 80 lb. granddaughter reached for the salt shaker and her chair collapsed from under her leaving a large bruise and scrape on her rib. It was very painful and she was hurting and upset the whole evening!nThis was to be a happy occasion because my son was getting married the next am.nI called Sharon right away to report the accident and she said that it was our word against hers that this had happened!! I took pictures of the chair where it had been glued together from a Previous break, Aldo of my granddaughter crying and the picture of her wound. They will not give me my $200.00 deposit back and are accusing me of not dropping off both keys! Which we did!nWe left the place spotless... did all the laundry, dishes and vacuumed! Have pictures of that too!nMy recommendation for doing any business with them is , don’t!! They both raised their voices to me on the phone and accused me of lying.nIf anyone is interested in seeing pictures. Email me [email protected].

Our stay in The Sunset House/510 was glorious. The weather was stunning! The house was perfectly cozy, clean, and well-appointed. The beds were so comfy. Have never slept that well away from home. Katy and Sharon were helpful and nice and Tim was a sweetie too. Did not want to leave but hope to return soon.
