I would NOT recommend going here! I have never left a review anywhere but I am so angry I can barely type! I scheduled a wellness check and my vision insurance co-pay was supposed to be $10. When I called today about the $205 invoice for my office visit I was told they made a medical diagnosis (a freckle in my eye) and a note in my chart to 'watch' it for changes. They claimed this 'diagnosis' meant they couldn't bill my vision insurance. They did nothing to 'treat' my 'condition'; they only manipulated the coding to squeeze the maximum money they could from me. What a scam!

Just received my bill for my annual eye exam plus glasses. I have been getting my eye exams in Butte with an ophthalmologist for the last many years with the same insurance and paid a $10 copay. Just moved to Helena so wanted to support a business here. Unfortunate experience with Mountain View Eyecare. They decided to upgrade the exam so they could bill my insurance $270. I'm told my out of pocket will be $65. On my Maui Jims, I was quoted by the optical guy $440 and ended up with a $549.20 bill or 25% above his estimate. I note that he said he was very familiar with my insurance yet I will end up paying 25% more. Buyer beware at Mountain View Eyecare!! :-(

Extremely unprofessional employees and Drs. They’re willing to hold glasses from a 12 year old girl, that are already paid for, so we can contact insurance to see how they billed.

I am so thankful for Dr. Berbos and his professional staff. Everyone in his office was kind and caring. Dr. Berbos went the extra mile in explaining every question and concern.

Dr. Berbose is AMAZING!!! 4 yrs. ago on Dec. 23 I woke up seeing the prettiest shade of purple~ at that time I was an optician at Walmart so I called Dr. Standish, he said to come in immediately and diagnosed a massive bleed (due to macular degeneration) in my eye that needed URGENT treatment that he couldn't provide~ I called a friend and she recommended her eye doctor~ Dr. Berbose~ trusting her judgement (we had worked together at St. Pete's ER) I called Mountain View Eye Care~to my relief (remember this is just 2 days before Christmas) they got me in right away even though I was NOT an established patient! That massive bleed totally destroyed my central vision~if I looked directly at someone I couldn't see their face, if I looked at the our 72 inch TV I could only see the edges of the screen) thankfully my left eye was fine but I was legally blind in my R eye~ The medicine I needed was $2000.00 per injection (!!!!) which I couldn't afford, I didn't even have insurance at that time, I felt like crying~ But Doc had some samples on hand from the pharmaceutical company for emergencies like mine AND he advocated for me with the company and got the medication donated to me via him...it took 8-10 months BUT Dr. Berbose COMPLETELY restored the vision in my R eye~ as for eye injections, well about 2 yrs. ago he had to start injecting my L eye to prevent a bleed so I now need shots in BOTH eyes~ he provides OUTSTANDING care on every level~ he makes certain that my eye is VERY numb for the procedure~ if I am anxious after the injection (odd that happens post injection) HE stays with me until I feel better even though I have told him that the assistant staying with me is fine~ he refuses to leave me until the anxiety has passed and he is confident that I am fine~As for his staff~ they too are AMAZING!! His assistants are always friendly, kind, caring and professional~ I have had ONLY GOOD EXPERIENCES and received ONLY TOP RATE care at Mountain View Eye Care! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Berbose and his team~I am blessed to be his patient and so very grateful that I am able to receive such wonderful care...Dr. Berbose has restored/saved my vision~ Thanks Doc!!
