I have been seeing Dr. McLaren regarding my pain issues since he first came to Helena and worked in St. Peter's Medical Clinic. I have always found him to be someone who listened to me and empathized with problems with my arthritis. He is a doctor first, and spent a lot of time with me initially to figure out where the pain was coming from, if my pain was real, and then how to best deal with it. Initially he recommended surgery, and I ended up having a spinal fusion with a doctor in Great Falls. I have had shots in my spine and other joints. I have seen many orthopedic doctors. I have had to acknowledge that I will in all probability have a degree of pain for the rest of my life. But I trust Dr. McLaren to help me deal with it.

Dr McLaren isn't only a good doctor but he's a good person as well. He also has a wonderful sense of humor which many of us can appreciate when we're in such pain. He cares about his patience as if they were his family.

after three sets of injections i am free of pain and i am working to regain my stability. i am very happy with the surgery and DR MCLAREN ability to solve my pain problem.

When I began seeing Dr. McLaren I had been taking hydrocodone for over 16 years. With the help of he and his staff, I was weaned off of the opiods. I have never been offered a prescription for pain medication from him. As my treatments continue, Dr. McLaren proves time and again there are remedies for pain management without throwing pills at me. Dr. McLaren demonstrates a genuine concern for my back issues and continues to seek the best methods for eliminating or alleviating my pain. Dr. McLaren continues to take my issues and seek remedies. In my opinion, Dr. McLaren is one of the most upstanding and ethical medical providers i see. Excellent physician.
