Pocatello Water Department

We had an issue with out water after replacing the water heater we couldn't get water to our house. We called the water companies emergency number around 8:30 to see if there was anything they could do to help us figure out what was going on. The gentleman on call was over to our house within 30 minutes and tried heating the outdoor valve area (it had been under freezing temp) to see if that helped. He ended up staying for over an hour trying to help. It ended up being due to a valve in the house. But we truly do appreciate all the effort the water department employee put in to help get water back to our home.

I accompanied the students of Gem Prep Academy on a field trip to the Water Department yesterday (May 9, 2019). I'm a retired teacher, and I know skilled teaching when I see it. We experienced a series of well-planned, engaging, and interesting presentations given by the Water Department staff. Everyone (including the adults) learned more about Pocatello's water system and ways we could help protect and improve our water resources. Kudos to Pocatello's Water Department staff! You all did a great job!
