Socorro General Hospital Physical Therapy DepartmentnnWhere do I begin. If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasn't going to give them a bad review but apparently I need to. I had a knee replacement and they were to give me in home physical therapy. The therapist came by one time to do an evaluation. He was in the home for about an hour. The second visit was from another physical therapist. She showed up said I was doing good and to sign these papers to get off of home heath care. No physical therapy was done during this visit. So I get the bill for two therapy sessions. I complain and state that I wont pay for two visits and now they tell me that it was two visits because they charge by 15 minute increments. I am not impressed with the hospital's physical therapy department. Because of the lack of care, by the time I got into another physical therapy program, it was a month since my surgery. I am looking at having a manipulation because of this lack of care. I had the other knee replaced 5 years ago and had their physical therapy department do in home visits. The lovely gal came three times a week for two weeks until I could drive. That knee has recovered nicely. Not sure what has changed other than Presbyterian becoming a big medical business. I would not recommend the hospitals physical therapy department. Go to one of the other locals Socorro Physical Therapy or Positive Outcomes.

Covid restrictions hurt people more than help them. First experience at this hospital was mental Health related and horrible especially due to not having a support person available... next was a URI and the patient was forced to stand in the snow for over an hour because it might be freaking Covid, couldn't understand anyone all gowned up because of hearing impairment and wasn't treated for anything just Covid tested. Had to go out of state for proper medical treatment. Ridiculous...

Dr.Baskin was great. He was super friendly and had lots of good information to offer from his many years of experience. The entire staff at this hospital was super helpful and polite - definitely some quality people at this location. Thanks guys!

If we're all trying to get a handle on Covid, shouldn't antibody tests be available??? Rather than trying to get people to drive to Albuquerque? Sounds like a simple fix from a state so determined to get a handle on the problem and willing to shut down everything at the drop of a cough. Not logical.

It was busy but I only stayed for 30 Dr was fast
