The Española Library is a good resource for the valley. Books have been updated, and there are now DVD’s available to check out. You can also purchase used books at a great price near the entrance. Staff is friendly, and Tammy is extremely helpful!! Anyone who has not taken advantage of all the amenities at the library should do so. Great place!!!

This is an excellent library that has recently been updated and become more user friendly, however the staff is very very loud and will talk loudly to each other while customers are attempting to study quietly. The atmosphere due to the noise from employees is not conducive to study of any kind, which is unfortunate since the library is beautiful and features computers and tables a plenty! Definitely with it to find the materials you need but avoid it if you need a quiet space to study!

Big thank you to the Espanola Public Library! I was travelling through and my phone completely died. I couldn't find anywhere to charge it until I found the library. They have a nice front room with a skylight and some free books. I was able to charge my phone and get halfway through a murder-mystery novel! Thanks to this experience and the great pizza I had, Espanola is quite possibly my favorite town in New Mexico!

As far as libraries go, Espanola Public Library is average. It's on the small side. It has a below normal selection of books but a very healthy, large children's section. So if you have a family with kids, it's a nice place to visit.nThe staff is friendly, never imposing but the atmosphere feels run down and old. Maybe they can change it or introduce components to liven or freshen it up?nEspanola is in Rio Arriba country, so I'll grant them a pass in that, it's a poor county. I can't imagine the library getting much in way of funding (sad).nnThey have a great amount of computers to use which, I appreciate and they check out movies as well.nThe people who go here need to learn manners. Too many people who use Street volume conversation, kids screaming/yelling, phones going off etc. It's more than distracting.nI wish the library would put up signs or at the very least, enforce silence rules inside.nThe library is convenient, but due to all the noise, not sure if I'll go here again.
