I am 20 years old and had never spent any time in a hospital by myself before. I was admitted pretty late at night and the staff was AMAZING. Not only did they care for me, they comforted me and treated me like family rather than a patient. I was pretty worried and scared considering, but I felt so loved and cared for by all the staff. Thank you DCMH emergency department, surgeons, nurses, and CNAS. It made my scary and eventful stay much easier and much more comfortable knowing i was thought of more than just a patient.

If you value your life, you will not go to this hospital. I wish I would have sued when I had the chance.nnThe first time I went to the hospital there was for a concussion. I arrived at 3 on a Wednesday afternoon, with not a single other patient in the waiting room. After my mother and I filled out the paperwork (mostly her because I couldn't focus my eyes to read) we waited in the waiting room for three hours without anybody coming to get us or even acknowledging us. The woman behind the ER counter sat on her phone the whole time, even as we got up to leave to go to montrose hospital.nnThe second (and last) time I went there was worse. I was fourteen at the time. I came in throwing up blood and unable to breathe. They took me back in the ER (after almost another hour long wait) and drew my blood and then left me and my mom alone in the room for almost two more hours. Even when my vitals started to severely drop they did not come back. Then all of a sudden they were in a rush to get me to a CT scan when we told them that I had had cancer in the past. They did the CT, said everything looked normal. Clearly that wasn't true. Then my mother called my doctor's at children's in Denver and told them the situation and they sent a flight for life plane my way immediately. flight for life arrives, and the nursing staff blocks my door so that they cannot get to me. Finally my mother makes them move and I leave for surgery in denver. I was so sick from septic shock and blood loss that I was starting to have organ failure and if I had been just ten minutes late to my surgery in denver I would have died.nnAll because delta hospital knows best, right?nnThen this year we went to their gynecologist (without realizing it was part of them at first) and about a week after putting an IUD in that I never asked for and didn't want, the gynecologist we were seeing leaves town without calling to let us know, so we waited for three months for a call about a follow-up appointment before we called ourselves and found out that she had been gone for months.nnI have never in all my life been treated as horribly as I was at this hospital. On two occasions, their emergency room nearly killed me with their negligence, and my third and final experience with them cost me thousands of dollars I didn't have for a procedure I never needed or wanted. If you value your life or the life of your loved ones, drive the extra 30 minutes to montrose. It will save your life.

Having been on the Board of Trustees of a different hospital, I can say, without a doubt, Delta County Memorial Hospital is the finest medical facility I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. Delta County Memorial Hospital coordinated with both the Veterans Administration and front range medical facilities in preparing me for a major operation, which has ultimately saved my life!

The Urology receptionist is so RUDE. I accidentally went to the wrong clinic and she was justnNasty rude laughing at my expense while my husband is in agonizing pain. Worst experience ever I don’t even want to go back.

I had TKR surgery in late June. Everything went well. I was treated like royalty in my room after surgery. All the nurses and CNAs were very attentive and polite. Some of the stand-outs were: Promise RN, Meg Robinson RN, Merry RN, Tammie CNA and Alanna CNA. Jessica Walters RN who is the Patient Advocate Is beyond professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She is in a class of her own. I’m actually excited about getting my other knee done here.
