Ylva's eye is really good. I have used her services for framing many times, and I have often been surprised by the frames she'll select to try out and then realize that the choice is just the right one. Years of experience and a strong aesthetic serve her well! There are some frames that give me such pleasure, still, to see - how perfect they are in picking up some color or feature of the work. I have never been disappointed.

Brought a beat up movie poster and new painting to Artemis for matting and frames. The owner provided attentive care and a well-informed aesthetic. Her attention to detail created confidence in the quality of craftsmanship. Her enthusiasm to deliver a great result with the right choice of materials and finishes turned a perfunctory chore into creative exploration. And delivered on time. Artemis Framing is solid and customer friendly

Although when I called to hire her we had a terse phone conversation, she made a quick call to me after I left a negative review. This is a rewrite to express that she expressed apologies and displayed a sincere desire to serve her customers and provide good final results. That was why she dismissed my job claiming to only use “new” materials. I also learned that she has some experience in French matting which seems to be a skill lacking in many of the Boston frame shops recently.

We returned to Artemis after having frame work done several years ago, with which we obviously were happy.nRecently we needed a couple of paintings and pastels reframed (and we used museum glass this time). We are very happy with the results and the time Ylva dedicated to us, to help us find the right mats and frames. Ylva was also able to stabilize and restore an antique frame on one of them.nWe highly recommend Artemis for jobs that need quality in materials and workmanship. For lesser work, get a frame at Target.
