I picked up prescriptions today at CVS Marblehead and was treated unprofessionally by the older man at the pharmacy register. Employing older citizens is a great idea and should come with a few caveats. Since I am a senior citizen with some hearing loss I find that wearing masks does make communication more challenging, therefore, when an employee is asked to speak up by a customer, not once but twice,nthis man just shook his head and glared at me over his mask. I challenged him with “how dare you shake your head at me I’ve asked you twice to speak up”. Never did he try to make an accommodation for a hearing impaired customer.nI hope management will read this and take appropriate steps to train all employees to strive for clear and volume appropriate communication with all customers during the mask wearing days ahead.
