New York City Police Department - 61st Precinct

Cops in this precinct are lazy. I call numerous times about quality of life complaints. Blocked hydrants. The patrol cars say it unnecessary to take action. Guess looking the other way and not doing police work is unnecessary. Easier to give back the job as unnecessary response instead of getting out of the car and addressing the conditions.

Not the place to go for help! you come to the rescue, the officer begins to scream and point you at the door. Not wanting to listen to the problem on which the person turned. I want to know. If the police do not help, then where to go?

I have a driveway where I park my car a lot of times people block my driveway I called this present a lot of times and nobody ever comes I talk to Officer Cheung today and his response to me was to call 311 I explain to him I called 311 three times and nobody answered he did not understand what I was saying because his response to that was call 311. I called that number a lot because I have this problem with people Blocking my driveway a lot so I know the number that I called because every other time I called they told me that they would send somebody. Officer Cheung was no help at all I asked him what is my only other option to do he told me once again to call 311 which I did again and nobody answered again. This present is not much help when it comes to people blocking other peoples driveway. Now I could see why they have a two star review for the precinct.

Came in to file a simple report for DMV purposes in my local precinct.nnThey refused to take a report , gave a runaround and 100 reasons why they can't do that and suggested to go to a different precinct. None of their reasons made any sense .nI wasted over 40 minutes and left with nothing.nnThen, I went to 61st precinct and had the report done in 10 minutes.nnThe 3 stars are for being nice overall but zero stars for being unhelpful.

Nice precinct in nice neighborhood.
