Big hindu temple in woodside
We went there for a visit tonight. There was chanting based on a book, there were several copies of that. We participated and changed. The book was hymns of Ram. Seemed like a discussion between Vibhishan and Ram, that also had translations for more meaning oriented folks. Then there was Aarti and Prasad. Finally we lined up for Langar, that was like dinner. The eggplant vegetables and kadhi-chaawal was tasty, but spicy for kids. Kids loved roti (whole wheat bread), the types of sweets and rice.nnWould be nicer if they explained what was going on in hymns, especially for kids who were mostly zoned out.
