I love how it's very well organized in and out of the campus to ensure the safety of students during the pandemic. Social distancing is very well maintained and testing is done regularly. Great college environment.

The dorm was nice and the rooms had large windows!

Great place to work. Excellent place to earn your bachelors or masters degree. They just moved to division 1 for all sports and have a rapidly growing reputation.

My friend and I both applied to this school, we had toured it and went to an informational meeting at our high school about it. We absolutely fell in love with the school, the programs, the campus, everything. And the best part of the school (we thought) was the price. At the tours and meeting we went to, we were both presented with a number on both the slideshow and packet we were given, the average cost of tuition for in-state students was $18,500. The lady specifically said that one thing that makes Merrimack different from its competitors is the cost and the affordability. This was the only number written on the slideshow, and said by the lady. It was written in huge size font. So we both remembered that number for Merrimack College, and thought that Merrimack’s tuition was $18,500. In the packet and slideshow there was little mentioned about cost of living and other fees, which makes sense because come to find out it is a total of about $16,000 (?!!!) written in about 11 size font in the packet as well as the “average cost of tuition after grant aid”, compared to the 72-size font the $18,500 number was written in. So we both thought Merrimack was a very affordable and realistic option for us, we got our hopes up. We got our acceptance letters as well as the financial aid packages and found out that the actual total cost including tuition and fees BEFORE any aid is applied is about $61,000 ??? This was extremely disappointing for both of us, and we were both angry. We would have called the school directly to complain but I went back through the packet and read through it all very closely and realized that the $18,500 is after aid is applied. I feel like this should have been made just as clear and apparent as the number itself. And perhaps we should have read more closely initially, but the representatives themselves should have presented this more clearly. Even though we both got huge scholarships that might make the college somewhat more affordable, we would both have to take our huge loans, and the fact that we just feel lied to is a huge turnoff.nnJust wanted to make this post for not only the school to see and hopefully make adjustments, but also for anyone else going through the process of looking at colleges to make sure this doesn’t happen to others.
