This is a really good school with lots of supportive students and teachers
i am a graduate of this school class of 2020. This a great school to go to. you could be involved with so many programs. You could also have a great relationship with your teacher. I recommend anyone to come to this school you will feel safe
I went to this school and It’s one of those that if you actually try hard you will succeed. I had some of the best teachers in here that were really looking to make sure that their students that were trying will be able to make it in the real world. If your looking for a school that you can just skate by and expect handouts then this isn’t the school for you. The only thing that I wish had been different was the discipline policies. There were a lot of kids that got away with so much or just treated school as time to hang out, creating a difficult environment. I ended up going to college in Florida and let’s just saw LS3 put me WAY ahead
Ls3 is although a small high school but it comes with great opportunities. The school offers AP classes on top of the traditional course subjects such as AP Bio and AP Statistics. The school has great arts programs such as choir, art and band all these classes offers advanced classes where students showcase their talent combined with classroom techniques at private shows and competitions. It also has many internship programs and career affiliations like natural museum of American history and Mount Sinai they also offer college credit classes at hunter college. Personally I’ve participated in some programs such as the mount sieni programs and summer internships at research labs and I’m not sure many schools would offer such the teachers are also one of the many enjoyable aspects the school offers. The teachers are not only concerned with the numbers the student present but they get to know each student as an individual and carter to them on the level suited for the student they also serve as adults any student can go and talk to bring it personal or academic.
What makes this school unique for me is the diversity with in it. The teachers of the school are one of the things that stood out to me the most. The teachers actually care about the students. Teachers are understanding on accepting late work and pushing back due dates and taking time out of their day to help students with numerous problems. The teachers try their best to get to know the students in their classes. Another thing that stood out to me from this school was the internship opportunities. Participating in an internship comes with many benefits. Having records of internships looks good on your resume, and stands out to colleges. In conclusion LSSS is a small school, and has very helpful teachers. There are no fights going on in the school, which makes it easier for the students to focus on their work, not on drama. Great principal! She’s very helpful and very good at taking feedback from the students to improve things in the school.
