I attended back in 77-79 and it was a great school to be at. All my teachers were the best. Looks totally different now. Glad to know it's still a great school!
I am currently a senior, graduating this year. My 4 years here were honestly great, the building is really nice, up to date and big (there’s around 350 students per grade) and a bad part is that our school is from the 4th floor to the 11th floor meaning you have to walk up the stairs :/ There is an elevator but you barely get to use it. Other then that there are a lot of clubs, and the people and teachers here are really nice, my whole time here i’ve only had one teacher I didn’t like, and that was because I think she didn’t like me LMAO. But since this is an art school your never really judged, dress the way you want and no one cares. The school is very diverse and open, and the majority here are hispanic. There are many opportunities as well, the school has an internship class/teacher who you can go to if you want a job (I’ve had over 4 jobs since my sophomore year and I found all of them out through the school.) A lot of people complain that the school doesn’t help, but it’s more your responsibility to reach out (ask for landegger if you want an internship). As for the school lunch it is not the best, but what high school lunch is good (none), we do have vending machines though. As for majors your first year you take design foundation where you get to explore all the majors and make a decision in your sophomore year. The area of the school is also really nice andd there are many places to eat.nnI hope this helped :)
I LOVED this school. The teachers really care about the students ability to learn, and they offer so much help outside of classroom time to get students back on track. I am now in my sophomore year of college and studying education due to the fantastic experience and support given by principle and teachers from class of 2019.
I had experience being discriminate from that high school. I was 16 years that time taking the exam and I met with a Asian student, and we was taking the test together. He draws poorly and didn't take the test seriously . I was most likely being serious and know how to draw good than him. The person that give out the test was Caucasian. When I show my pro-filo its like he wasn't interested in the first place so it was pretty much quick for me to leave. I heard my results and I didn't get accepted to the school but my Asian friend did and he didn't bring that much pro-filo.
Been here for about 2 months, and its been pretty good so far. Ive only been here for a short time, so that might change, idk. My cousin went to this school, and he said it was good, so i'm taking his word for it. Staff are respectful, and the school is very accepting. The school also offers a variety of clubs, so thats good....i think. The only complain that I have is that at the beginning of they year, it was a bit of a mess, but hey, I cant blame them as nobody really expected this pandemic. In all, this is a good school (so far) and I would recommend it!!!
