Slate NY

A great place for a late-night game of pool with superb cocktails. One of my favourite spots in NYC.

Slate charged me for $372.32 worth of services when no one even came to clean. I was promised a refund, but almost a year later there is no refund and they've stopped answering my emails. STAY AWAY.

Hosted a Christmas Party at The Slate NY and loved the venue. Classy and upscale without being pretentious. We reserved a long table which was perfect for our large group, as people came and went. The atmosphere was festive and busy, without being crowded.

I've been here a bunch of times. It's a cute spot but I'm wondering how 2 drinks that costed $25 came out to a bill of $40. They added COVID surcharge and gratuity...but it still doesn't add up. I was expecting an itemized receipt but they just give you a dollar amount receipt. I don't like getting got so I probably won't be back.

My food wasn't the best but it was a generous amount. They now add a service fee and a covid fee to each bill. My friends and I opted to split the bill but the total on each bill was different and they took more than they were supposed to off of our cards and told us it was time to leave when questioned. Taj next door isn't much better.
