Jamaica Station (AirTrain)

Very crowded & bit confusing especially if you new in town... So many confused tourists there too

$7.75?! On their website, they have services for the visually and hearing impaired, what about the financially impaired? complete ripoff.

This is a drive-less system, so there's no staff operating the train, the train operate by itself. It's amazing how this train could get to JFK terminal 1 from Jamaica in less than 10 minutes.

There is an information guy here...I am so sorry I did not remember.hos name...but so helpful! I really was having a hard time figuring out how to pay and such he got me sorted. He works for the train....so grateful for the service!

Straight forward system to get from JFK to Washington Heights. I used Howard Beach (A train) in the past, but I prefer the route that goes through Jamaica better. After about 7 stops, we were in Manhattan. The airtrain ticket is 5$ plus 1 for the ticket if you don't have one. You may need to buy a separate unlimited ride ticket to get 7-day or 30 day ticket options.
