One hell of an impressive Courthouse worthy of the case US v Ghislaine Maxwell being heard in the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan. Ms Maxwell so far has not had a win in the preliminary and interlocutory stages of her criminal case.nnThe Judge Loretta Preska uttered the fateful words rejecting Counsel's submissions as “Maxwell’s meritless arguments.”

This is a really impressive building that is built in the classical revival style, and was built between 1932 and 1936 by architect Gilbert Cass and his son. It has two main components: the base and the tower. The tower is 37 stories high measuring 179.83 metres.nnIt serves as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. The building contains 35 court rooms.nnEvents that are noteworthy include the espionage conspiracy trial of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, the guilty plea from Ivan Boesky and the trial of Martha Stewart.nnThe building was named after Thurgood Marshall, who worked at the courthouse from 1961 to 1965 as a Judge on the Second Circuit of Appeals before being promoted to the Supreme Court of the United States. The building was named in his honour on April 15, 2003.nnIf you are walking past Foley Square, you can not miss this impressive building. Definitely worth a look.
