I came in, a stranger to get a couple books and left with more books than anticipated, discovered a piano for my Songwriting, was given a list of local eateries for the best experience, and find out one of my childhood inspirations, Frederick Douglass, is interred nearby.nnAfter regaining my strengths at a locally recommended eatery I shall be visiting the grave of the mighty Frederick Douglass whose 4th of July speech was my first lesson in memorization, lyrical recitation, and public performance at the tender age of four or five.nnTwenty-five years later life isn't so simple anymore but the dignity, the encouragement, the hope that Papa Douglass inspired... It still lifts me in a sullen world where happiness is a heron fast fleeting.nnRochester Public Library is a gem. A titan of an institution reminiscent in spirit and tone to the library of my childhood in D.C., the indefatigable Library of Congress itself.

A wealth of knowledge to be had there.
