My wife and I drove to Rochester, NY from Batavia, NY to visit this bookstore on purppse. We've recently moved upstate and lost access to our beloved Strand Book Store in New York City, and Powerhouse bookstore in Brooklyn. But Hipocampo easily fulfills out need for smart, multicultural children's books. They have all our favorites as well as so many new ones we hadn't yet discovered.
Amazing!! A beautiful selection of books for kids and adults, with a special focus on books that affirm acceptance and self-acceptance of all people. Nicely displayed, fun music playing, and a kind & obviously caring owner. We can’t wait to go back!!
The best children's book store in the city. They also have a terrific adult section. Go and visit, you will love them.
Small, tucked away, local book shop with an interesting variety and really helpful staff!
