I don't know why Chatham has bad reviews but I can tell you they're not based in reality. I'm an interior firefighter with Chatham and the negative reviews are so divorced from reality that they're dangerous. We drill and prepare more than a lot of other departments and we are constantly improving. I hope anyone who has a complaint with the department will come forward with a specific concern instead of hiding behind a Google review.
I would never live in this fite companys district, their protocol to a fully working fire is to send an ambulance to recon, then dispatch truck an hour later.nPoor 911 system, inferior protocol, inferior response time.nI approve this review.
Takes this dept 45 minutes to respond to a fully working fire 2 blocks away with a dispatcher wasting precious time repeatedly asking a former fire rescue if hes sure there is a fully engulfed fire in progress.
