I took my greyhound to see Dr. Baker recently for the first time and was very impressed. I was looking for a vet who was knowledgeable about greyhounds and Dr. Baker was highly recommended. I was impressed by his knowledge, responsiveness and caring. His staff is also wonderful - very kind and calm. I would definitely recommend Old Town Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a great vet for their pet.
My husband and I had our beloved dog Madison put down on October 15th. We had a horrible experience during the process. We were put in a waiting room with Madison and had to wait for the vet. It took a while for her to come in. When she did finally come in she did a quick exam of Madison and agreed that it was time for Madison to go. She then said she was going to take her out back to put a catheter in. It wasn’t long before we heard Madison yelp. At that point I had to go to the car. I was distraught. My husband texted me and said she had yelped a couple of more times and he asked if he could be with her to comfort her. He was told they didn’t allow that. He could also hear people laughing something you don’t want to hear during a time like this. It took 45 minutes for them to find a vein! When they finally brought her back in the exam room my husband said she was pretty much gone. The vet said to him this is the first time in 17 years this has ever happened to me. He really didn’t need to hear that at that point. They gave her her finally injection and she passed. We have talked to several people that have had to put their dogs down and they’ve all said they were with their pet throughout the process to comfort and say their goodbyes. We will never go back to Old Town Animal Hospital. They were so unprofessional and made an extremely difficult time a nightmare!!
I have two puppies, one a male shih tzu and the other a female Australian shepherd both I have been taking there since they were 3months and they are now almost a year old, they love coming to the vets office and they’re always well taken care of, the team there I think are very respectful and polite, they always answer any questions I have and being a first time dog parent I have a million, they’re very patient and friendly even though my Australian is very wild most other vets I’ve been to or called seem to lack these qualities but old town makes me feel comfortable about the care my fur babies receive and I won’t be going anywhere else, would recommend to anyone I know
Called for help with my ailing cat. Call was handled terribly and there was Zero empathy. Had a similar experience with another cat. Never saw Dr. Baker and they told us she was a hopeless case, maybe a neurologist could help, but they thought she had a horrible 3 months at best, and the best route might be euthanization. 2 years later, she is doing very well. I am getting a turnaround on this current cat, no thanks to Old Town. Breaks my heart because I have given so many recommendations for them.
I take all 3 of my cats here for their routine care needs. The staff at the desk and the doctors are super friendly and helpful. They answer any questions we have . Never had an issue. Their prices are very affordable. They are always quick and prompt to respond to any phone calls or emails.nThank younThe Navarro’snMarley, Zara & Coco
