I went to a Ribbon Cutting at this Beautiful place. If you have not been here lately, you should take a tour. All new appointed rooms and dining area.. Beautiful foyer, dining room, library, rooms and apartments. The owners and staff are top notch and certainly know how to make you feel like family. Very impressed with the Colonial Poplin.

Our Dad had stayed at Poplin on a few occasions over the past few years for rehab after being in the hospital for medical issues. The incredible dedication and love that the staff and management showed Dad and our family was what we had hoped for.nWhen the time came for him to transition out of assisted living in Bedford to full time nursing care in August we were so relieved to find that Poplin had a room available. Dad's health was failing quickly and we weren't sure how long we would have together.nFrom Jeff and all the rest of the staff, every day was made special for our father. The unconditional care and support for Dad and our family allowed us to be at peace knowing that he was comfortable.nAlong the way we needed guidance from the accounting and management in decisions. They always made time to respond via calls and even sitting together in meetings.nWhen the time to have hospice involved for care, Poplin arranged that quickly with staff at Harborside. Right up to Dads passing, our family was cared for as we all gathered by his bedside.nWe highly recommend Colonial Poplin for your love ones needs. Love is at the heart of what they do.

My mother was admitted with a broken ankle. The nurses and staff are wonderful. Anything we asked for or about was immediately taken care of .I feel she is in very good hands .

My father inlaw passed away 2 yrs ago. There is so many things Bad,awful about this place found out in a short time frame but most important abuse by a heavy set on chunky side nurse. And the days before his passing he had explained and pointed out a nurse that had abused him he had not wanted to address it of fear she would retaliate. Wanted out of there fast...Upon getting family together to talk to address it without this fear of him being hurt by this women ...But passed just days later suddenly ...my husband was 2nd on emergency contact. They had not called us being 2nd contact the day he had unexpectedly passed but left 1st contact my sister in law a message he was not well required oxygen and we had not knew until sister inlaw called later in evening, after she got out of work to tell us he was gone. Also that same week before his passing he had fell from his bed one morning and during our visit nursing staff said nothing to us my sister inlaw had called us 2 hrs into our visit and explained the facility called her telling her Dad (patient) had a fall she was rushing to Colonial poplin facility to see how he was. we had said he was fine and questioning if she was okay because we are there visiting and nurse said nothing when we asked how he was she said he was Great and moving shoulder better and he was full of energy and a pleasant favorite patient of hers. which was confusing and now it explained why they brought in a mat to place on his bed to be put in place later that evening. To alarm them if he moved. Also his fentanyl patch had gone missing off his arm and this was a sudden issue that arised with patients that had patch And staff would have to do checks to be sure it was on his arm. He had been stolen from he had worn a watch all the time that sister inlaw place inside side table an went missing the very next day And staff could not find it ...There were maybe 2 nurses that were genuine, caring dedicated to the job. But because these things were brought to our attention within the week he passed away. He had no other life threatening issues except a dislocated shoulder, post previous broken rib of 1 yr, this was approx 6 wks into nursing care. He was 89 but sharp mind and thriving to leave soon. The place looks nice, lobby area was recently updated and nice areas to sit away from patient rooms but this place is awful and because you pass away in a hospital or nursing facility. It's not required to have an autopsy. They can say an use medical issues as their reasons for passing. If i can help anyone from neglect or abuse of your loved one family or friend. Dont use facility stay far away. Best wishes.
