staff is extremely rude and passive aggressive
If you’re looking for a quiet place to read or do work, you should be prepared to know that this library is on the smaller side, which is not really the reason I’m giving it two stars but because every time I have come it has frequent children/parent activity and noise which I find very distracting and unfortunately unavoidable given the layout and size of the building. Even the seating near the reference section is still subject to those distractions. In addition, a reference question I asked plainly, about which I did not know, was met by a staff member who had an attitude condescending enough for no apparent reason that I was inclined to leave. Other times, I have been met only with pleasant interactions. So this was an anomaly.nnBut if you’re going here because you assume that as a library it would be a quiet place to work, but that toddlers and families distract you, like it does for me, or even adults who come sit themselves at your table and start up normal conversation at length with one other and not using the library for its actual purpose, the Nashua public library is a somewhat better alternative or much better, the Pollard Memorial Library in Lowell.
Great place to study. Found a nice quiet corner. Very nice staff and a very neat and today building. Great kids section also with scheduled activities.
What a beautiful library! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's so peaceful. Reminds me of how a library use to be . Books and magazines and tranquility. Family friendly. Really like this place. Thank you for reminding me of how a library should be.
