Lantern's End Clubhouse & Grill

I've known about Jack O'Lantern Resort and Golf course for many many years. I've visited frequently before I married and started a family. Anyway, years have passed and my family enjoys traveling. On our way home from another trip, we were looking into extending our stay here. First, we were hungry and I used to eat here and the food was so amazing. I was excited to share this place with my family. To me, it's like a little hidden gem. You never have to wait long for food or service so I figured this would be perfect for us. Our plan was to get there, eat, and book a room. We pulled into the parking lot and it was fairly empty. My family and I walked along the back, when we were greeted on the patio by our server and everyone just stopped talking. Everyone was just staring at us. I politely explained we would like a table for us to eat and the server was really pleasant she said sure come on in. We were never offered to sit outside with the resort guests. Which, I guess was fine. Now inside, downstairs, is more of a bar atmosphere but there are some tables too. We hopped onto one of the tables and our server started with our orders right away. There were people who were also dining inside and they did not care we were there or anything. They were using inappropriate language continuously and loudly. It was as if they were purposefully talking so awful in front of my child. My husband and I were a bit surprised. While we waited for our food, we decided to book a stay somewhere else. It was unfortunate because it was getting late in the day, but the guests appeared to be uncomfortable with us being there. Besides that, the food was not as I remember. So much has changed. In the end, our server was great, the guests were not welcoming, and the food was small and over priced.
