Warren Police Department

I lived in Warren for a substantial amount of time, and, I must say, this police department and their officers are absolutely amazing. The town is incredibly lucky to have them. Thank you for all that you do.

After hearing about an altercation in Warren involving town councilman Joseph DePasquale and a local musician, I'm at a loss for why no charges were filed against the councilman or any parties involved when there were obvious injuries. I'm sure if an officer of the law were involved there would be immediate charges of assault and battery pressed. Apparently there were witnesses willing to testify that the councilman was in the wrong. This case was forwarded to the District Attorney and no charges were filed? I guess in the fine state of Rhode Island, where connections mean everything, the adage holds that it's not what you know, its who you know.nnSigned,nA Former Warren Resident

Terrible. When I fear that my life was in danger from someone in my household they wouldn’t take our weapons away. I thought this was a state policy but the town over said it wasn’t!! Nice to know the town police would rather see me dead than safe.

Yet another useless Department. Called to report abuse of a child and they did nothing. However, I sure did catch a lot of attitude. But I guess it helps when your mommy’s husband is friends with the police.....Cops sure aren’t what they used to be. Children to the elderly can’t stomach them now all across this Country with this department being no exception. With how these “cops” get away with so much, I feel less and less empathy for the people VS the police issues. The people are tired of the corruption, not being heard and being spoken to as a peasant, my fellow citizens lives being taken like these “cops” are judge and jury and our Constitutional Rights being violated on a daily basis. Don’t forget ladies and gentlemen of the badge, you work for us. You chose this profession. If you can’t successfully employ the skills you’ve been taught and stand by the oath you’ve sworn, have the decency to resign and let the space be open for an actual Police Officer. But it does leave you to wonder...If the patrolmen are getting away with this type of behavior, what does that say for the leadership of these types of departments? Just read the other reviews of this department. Not only do they not seem to care about this situation, they’re allegedly guilty of police brutality also. If I am assaulted by the Warren Police Department after this review, it will confirm all those reviews...
