If I could choose a lower star I would. I witnessed a theft the other day and called because as I was leaving I happened to notice the thieves were in front of me and going in the same direction as me. I seen them turn into some condo place and decided hey I should call the police and let them know what's up since the workers at the store had already made a police report. When I called the operator started grilling me and bring completely rude because she didn't want to do her job. I'll remember that next time I see something I want in Target because apparently the police department in saline is incompetent.

The dispatcher was very friendly and helpful over the phone. Officers arrived on scene quickly and overall the situation was handled quickly and professionally.

Basically the police in this town are nothing more than bullies in badges. The officers I dealt with screamed at me the entire time I was pulled over because I turned right on a red even though according to state law their no turn on red sign is not properly placed. For whatever reason both officers felt the need to stand at my drivers side door and scream at me the entire time. Upon calling the officer to discuss the ticket I told him that I am an active duty member of the military and I am on leave I will not be able to go to court to dispute this. The officer basically told me that he doesn't care about my service and it's not his problem.

Chief Hart is a great addition to the force! The SPD is community oriented in Saline.
