Beautiful traditional architecture in the seemingly endless campus grounds, stately brown stone buildings, meticulous landscaping and wide-open green spaces. Thayer street is lively, and hosts a variety of small casual restaurants and cafes featuring cuisine from 3 continents (at least). The area feels quite safe, well maintained and pleasant in every way, compared to most other areas in Providence.

My father went to Brown in the 1940s. The kindest, brightest, sweetest man I have ever known....it must be said that Brown helped to instill in him the core values that made him the man I so respected.
Brown University is a beautiful sight to see and place to be. The historic and aesthetic buildings composing this campus maintain a special sense of nostalgia for all those who wander in wonder on these educational paths of traditional institutional wisdom balanced with progressive individual ambitions cumulatively embodying the life-long learning process of any curiously engaged life worth living.
