Pretty good school. I've had really amazing teachers. People don't give this school enough credit. They somehow work with a limited budget in one of the largest schools in south west Michigan.

Secretaries are Very unprofessional; Marijuana smoked in girls bathroom-school does not work very well with police, need drug dogs at door of school; bullying, allow people who start fights back on bus privileges; teachers do not contact you regrading anything-parents must be diligently involved which is their responsibility, yet teachers will not contact parents if there is continued issues with your student, but instead they are sent to a 'student resource room.' You will not find out about that. Teachers cannot keep their rooms under control because students are very disrespectful and need More adults in the room to develop a learning environment for all students to learn effectively. Now, parents just need to get more involved for changes and these issues can change. And if you think your student doesn't bully or do drugs, you may want to reconsider and be having these talks weekly. Our children have attended for 1 and 3 years.

My kids go there and aren't succeeding they claim that marijuana is being allowed on campus ...never Good as a leadership role to use any substance in front of influential and vulnerable children.

The office does not and will not call parents back. they avoid dealing with anything. The solution to all problems is the resource room (in school suspension) which they dont inform parents about. There are teachers and staff that belittle ridicule and humiliate children and then blame the child. The school does not want parents involved and has made comments auch as Your to involved in your childs decisions and life. Wish i would have never inrolled my children in this school. The kalamazoo promise isnt worth putting any child through this . A teen should not have to message his parents because he needs to use the restroom and isnt allowed. And when the parent intervines the ataff will take the childs phone and send them to the resource room. ridiculous.
