It's been a year since I lived in Kalamazoo and used this post office but I needed to write a review for this place because I just experienced the worst service at another one in a different city (it had 1.7 stars, y'all)nnThis post office is nice and large, so if you do happen to go at a busy time there's still room for everyone. I've bought tape and stamps there, then gone over to one the large tables they have to finish packaging my mail. The place seems clean, well lit, and well ventilated - I've definitely been to post offices in far worse condition. Their self service machines work well and are easily accessible. I've been to this post office for years and received good service. Their staff has helped me fill out customs forms, mail packages, send out my passport/visa application, and send letters. For how much the gov has screwed over the USPS, this location works hard and does their best to be professional.
Due to this “illness” going around. I brought in a prepaid package. Literally sprayed the outside of the box with Lysol just to make 100% it was safe. I had to put it in a bin and was NOT able to get a receipt. I need a receipt since I am selling through an app. Good to know that USPS doesn’t want to be reliable for packages when they’ve literally delivered packages to my house that have been damaged beyond repair and has ruined products I have purchased.
The employees there are rude and disrespectful. Especially the Caucasian lady there a little on the older side, she dismissed me entirely. I wasn’t even there for 4 whole min before she gave me attitude.
Very fast, efficient, and friendly staff. Love that they're open later than most post offices.
