This is my 4th time closing on a mortgage and 1st time with Post Road. I'd imagine people had great experiences with pretty simple single family homes. However, I buy multi family homes which has a little added complexity (but not much). But this is exactly what I'm paying a lot of money for. The attorney seemed like he wasn't prepared or it was his first time or something. I ended up catching a mistake in the security deposits I would receive from the seller and also the rent for the rest of the month. These numbers should be right because the title company receives the leases. They also missed a closing cost so I had to write another check to cover that. And after I closed there were 2 documents that still needed signatures. I shouldn't have to put any extra effort in closing. If you were buying a car, would you expect to get to the dealership and have to put air in the tires? No that is their job.
