Its a rare nostalgic gem of Maine, I love the rare finds. What I love about this place it was once an old train station for a wealth resident of Maine. Sadly though it maybe leaving, but in the mean time if you're in the Wells or in Maine itself, stop by and relive you're childhood and who's know make a rare find.

Thousands upon thousands of books every catagory you can think of. Deceptively huge inside, a maze. Salesperson more than helpful, yet let's you roam and look yourself. If you love books, you need to stop in and see their selection!

It's definitely a place to go if you enjoy looking for your favorite local New England authors, old & rare New England maps/prints, plus the experience of the smell of old classic leather bond anquiet books

Deceptively huge store. There are tons of rooms in this old converted building. You think you've seen everything and then another room with unknown treasured opens up for exploration. Keep your kid nearby if you bring them because it is a bit disorienting, but for me it was more like an adventure. Didn't find anything I wanted because the sci-fi section is a bit small, but definitely worth a look if a bibliophile.

as a crazed book lover, i knew i just absolutely had to stop by this store when i drove past it with my family. we found the time to do it yesterday and i was absolutely awestruck. if i didn’t have other things to do yesterday, i would’ve stayed here until they made me leave. all the rooms, filled mostly to the ceiling with old books, new books, classics, and controversial books. it’s paradise. from the way it smells like old pages to the way they have a little older register where you have to type in everything’s price. if i lived in this town, i’d be here as often as i could and probably overtime buy out their entire stock! i’m glad i got to experience this place and feel like i was in my comfortable element. it was quite wonderful.
