This is a review of 1-800 flowers. Though a reasonable price on what I just ordered, the shipping was outrageous! 1/3 the cost of the item! If there had been an estimated shipping cost when you put the address in I could've saved some money and went local! Screw these shipping costs

On Monday evening I ordered some flowers to be delivered on Wednesday, November 11 and since the delivery date was available, I put my order through. Last night I received a message that FedEx had shipped my order with a delivery day of Friday, November 13 and now I'm beyond livid!!!! These flowers need to be delivered on the 11th for an anniversary and now they'll be two days late because 1-800-Flowers can't get their act together. I wouldn't be so upset about the delivery service if the 11th wasn't an option, then I would have gone with another florist. Since I was given the option to select a date and promised my flowers would arrive on that day, I expect them to!!!! In addition, the recipient lives in Santa Clarita, CA and the flowers are being shipping from Oceanside, CA which is in San Diego - that's a four-hour drive!!!! Isn't there a florist much closer in the LA or San Fernando Valley areas that could have fulfilled and delivered this order on time? Customer service wants to give me a $20 credit on my next purchase and I don't want it because I will no longer be using their services ever again!!!!

Horrible company, 1-800 Flowers (no such thing as Cross Plains 1-800) Rip off. No time during the process do they inform you that there is an $18 service charge. They even total the bill with shipping and tax, after you submit, the service fee is added to your credit card. The telephone on the website is a recorded message referring you back to the website. Live chat is terrible, hung for 20 minutes with no response hoping that I would go away. Would not recommend under any circumstance. Search for your local florist directly. Lesson learned.

This is a review of 1800flowers in general and not Cross Plains specifically as I don’t know how to review the 1800flowers main office. Horrible service both online and over the phone! Got my original order delivery info wrong. Didn’t deliver my second item (wasn’t told it would be two separate delivery days) or notify me it wasn’t available until I called. Web site didn’t show my order using order number, nor did the phone service recognize my order number. Was on hold over 15 minutes before getting a live person and then put on hold (I lost count, but at least 10 times). I was on the phone well over an hour trying to rectify THEIR error! Replacement item I requested also wasn’t available (why... when advertised on the web site?). Delivery date was not quick, (even though it was a time sensitive date). AND, when I asked to confirm the recipient address the item was going to New York, instead of Alabama! The phone messages indicated I could submit a review about my experience, but I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to do so. All in all... a horrible experience and I’ll never use 1800flowers again! They have a very nice selection of items, but are pretty pricy, and for the price I paid, the service should have been way better! I only gave one star because I couldn’t give no stars!
