Eli’s Books

This bookstore serves as the DePauw University Bookstore! It is very cute and sits on the square in Greencastle. However, it isn't exactly on campus, and since it is the primary bookstore for the students, that can be a downside. Also, their hours are pretty limited, even before Covid-19. However, once you get there, it is a really neat spot! They also have curbside pickup, which is nice.

The book store was well stocked, but very pricey even the 'clearance' items. They had a good variety of school items.

Seems like it's mostly a college bookstore. Lots of text books and college logo clothing. They also offer some basic office supplies as well as limited general literature.

Ordered and paid for a book through them and was told I would get a call when it was in. 3.5 weeks later, after calling multiple times I just now received my text book. I asked for a refund for the 3.5 weeks that I have gone without the textbook and was told there was nothing they can do. Awful customer service

Very disappointed in my experience with Eli's Books today. The last time I was in Greencastle, I visited the store and purchased two t-shirts. I am a DePauw alum and don't live in Greencastle. With no changing room, I could only eyeball the size. When I got home, I tried on the shirts only to find they were too small. I folded them back up, kept the receipt, and determined that I would exchange the shirts for a larger size the next time I was in Greencastle. That was today. When I spoke with the manger about the exchange with a receipt in my hand (not a return), I was told it was beyond 30 days and he would not make the exchange for me. This was all happening as I could see the shirt I needed 10 feet away on a sales table. BUYER BEWARE! If you plan to buy something at this store and there is a problem, don't count on the store taking care of you! This was a very poor customer service experience. I don't plan on spending my money here in the future as I can't trust the store to work with me in good faith.
