I tried taking my daughter there today (1/24/21)because we needed headbands and clips for her hair. She is 2 and special needs. I entered in and the employee told me she can't be in there because she doesn't have a mask. I tell him she can't wear one because she doesn't meet the guidelines and because she is special needs. He continued to tell me she needed a mask, ignoring the fact I am telling him this. We left the store, with her screaming because she doesn't understand why she can't have the headbands or clips. We ended up leaving Gurnee Mills because of this experience. We will be calling corporate on this young man and store for their behavior.

The employees that worked on 1/24/2021 are horrible! So, disrespectful, and rude. The male employee was acting like a complete jerk to me and my daughters, The female employee was not any better. They greet you with rolling eyes and hot breaths. They dont look at you at all. The male employee snapped at me telling me they dont peirce ears there. When clearly they do .. They have signs all over the store advertising it.. I have never left a store so mad! They need to hire new people immediately!

Is it company policy to enforce masks on 2-year-olds and infants? Because the manager of Gurnee Mills Claire's store kicked out a family today because their AUTISTIC TWO YEAR OLD wasn't wearing a mask. It is against CDC recommendations for kids that young to wear a mask, and with her special needs that seems a lot like they just don't care for autistic individuals. It isn't even a mandate for children so young to wear masks, whether special needs or neurotypical. I'm all in support of masks 100%, but the way this rule was enforced at the Gurnee Mills Claire's store on just a TWO YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL, it certainly seems discriminatory.

This is the worst store in the entire mall. The staff members are rude and inconsiderate, not to mention they have an EXTREMELY difficult time keeping up with there 10 customer limit. I don't know if they cant count at all or they just don't wanna deal with exactly 10 I the store. EVERY single time I take my daughters there the staff ignores us. Somebody needs to step up and take over.
