I was apprehensive to go see a chiropractor, especially pregnant. But I gave it a try - and oh my gosh! I fully believe in the work now & I know that’s 100% of how Dr Hopper handles his clients. He explains every step, why/how he’s doing stuff and really puts even the most uncertain people at easy. Run don’t walk to go see him, his bed side and prices cannot be matched anywhere - and I’m 31 weeks and haven’t had sciatica pain in months!!!!

We are so grateful for My Recess. My son began seeing Miss Carol just before his fifth birthday. We knew he was having some sensory issues. We had been told from a previous OT eval at another clinic that nothing was concerning. But she saw what we saw. Not only did she give our family tools to help him navigate through his challenges, she also helped us to identify a visual processing issue and pointed us in the direction of an amazing developmental optometrist who helped up tremendously. We are forever grateful for all of the amazing support My Recess has provided.

Dr Dave at myRecess is incredible. He is the only chiropractor I will allow to touch my child. He is gentle. Kind and so great with kids and all age patients.

Our experience with My Recess and Miss Kelly Marie has truly changed our lives. I knew that my son needed help, but I didn’t know where to begin. He had just turned three, and he was hardly eating. He wasn’t sleeping. He spent his days in a constant state of whining, and melting down. He would speak to communicate basic needs, but that was about it. At park district classes and story times, I’d watch smiling moms with smiling kids singing and dancing or sitting in a reading circle, while I chased my son around the room, pulled him away from the water fountain, stopped him from grabbing art supplies and opening cabinets, eventually carrying him out the door while he screamed and cried. He was so unhappy. I was so unhappy. I was also really worried about my sweet boy who never seemed happy or comfortable, no matter what we tried. And we had tried everything.nnAs I sat in the car and cried after yet another attempt to take him somewhere fun, only to find myself carrying my screaming child across the parking lot, I decided it was time to reach out for help. My Recess was highly recommended and I had heard of them before, so I called. Even from my first phone consultation with Mindy, I felt relieved. For the first time, someone understood what I was going through and told me they could help. My son immediately fell in love with Kelly Marie. She taught me that he falls into a certain category of kids with specific needs, and recommended books for me to read more about it. We were not alone. At each session, she showed me what kinds of activities my son would benefit from both at home and around the community. I started making these things part of our daily life, and immediately saw changes in him. After about 5 months with Kelly Marie and My Recess, my son is a different kid. He reached all of the goals we had set for him in the beginning, and Kelly Marie and I decided that he was no longer in need of services. He eats non-stop now. He asks questions, expresses his opinions, and sings little songs. He even happily goes into a gymnastics class without me and follows directions. Our life at home is so much happier and more peaceful, and I will always be thankful for My Recess and everything they have done for my son and our family.

My Recess Therapy is a wonderful environment for children with an even more amazing team of therapists. I am blown away with the amount of knowledge and skill the therapists possess. My Recess Therapy has helped our child reach goals that we never thought were possible.nnThe of amount of support provided by My Recess is extraordinary! It can be hard and overwhelming for parents and it's nice to lean on the support the team at My Recess provides to children and parents!
